The Future Laureates premiere a new song “Down,” off their upcoming album, ‘Here And After.’
CMJ.com premiered The Future Laureates’ new song, “Down,” just a few days ago! Frontman, Danny Surico explained the songs message by saying, “the song is speaking about the current gay rights movement and the shifting cultural landscape in our country. As a band, we have a lot of GLBTQ friends and family who are paving the way for social change, and specifically fighting for the right to marry. This is one small way of showing our support for marriage equality and the many brave people championing equal rights.”
We recently sat down with the guys and did an acoustic session including their track, “Sinners and Saints,” which you can watch here. Both tracks are off the bands upcoming EP, Here and After, which drops on September 23rd!
The playlist includes some personal favorites of ours including “We Don’t Have Each Other” by Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties and “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor!

Radio Black’s TJ Courtney is living proof that taking a risk pays off. The singer-songwriter sent a demo to lauded Foo Fighters producer Jon Lousteau in blind faith, hoping he’d be willing to mix the track. Instead, he received an invitation to record at Dave Grohl’s legendary 606 Studio.

So I submitted a photo of Paramore from the Monumentour for a contest, winner gets to shoot the Carnivores Tour with Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars, and AFI (as well as some cash), and I could reeeeally use some help.

It’s been a busy year for Kiven. The Los Angeles-based rockers released their self-titled album, had a successful run at SXSW, toured and headlined a residency in their homebase of LA.
