Paramore Announce Intimate Tour Featuring Copeland

Paramore announced yesterday that they would be hitting the road, but doing it a little differently this time around. According to the band’s Facebook post, “It feels right to bring the Self-Titled era to a close. We’ve had a very personal and hugely triumphant journey with this one. What wouldn’t feel right is saying goodbye to this time in the band’s career and not celebrating it with our fans in some special way. So we’ve decided to do one last little run with it. Smaller shows, beautiful theaters…and we’re not calling it a tour, by the way. Each night will be a little event, or as we said just a few seconds ago, a celebration.”

The band will be hitting the road in late April and bringing on long-time friends, Copeland. This will be Copeland’s first tour in almost five years! Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 30th, but Paramore.net email subscribers will receive unique codes to purchase tickets on January 26th!

Review:: Taylor and the Wild Now | Taylor and the Wild Now

For Fans of: The Head and the Heart, Oh Honey, Dawes, Ben Howard

If you could bottle the feeling of a lazy afternoon, this EP would be it.

Taylor & The Wild Now’s self-titled debut EP showcases Taylor Baker (guitar, vocals, banjo) and Drew Walker’s (guitar, trumpet) respective talents with bright, melodic riffs and enticing melodies. Showcasing mostly melodies and guitar riffs, Wanderlust serves as an appealing hook for the EP. Bewildered showcases more of a blues sound, which continues into Sun Song before slowing down with Wild, the EP’s final track.

Arguably, Wanderlust is the standout track on the EP. Wanderlust captures the emotions of wanting to move on, as Baker wistfully sings, “I’ve drawn maps with everywhere I’ve never been.”

Taylor & the Wild Now’s debut is stunning, with relaxing, soaring sounds that don’t overpower the vocals. Fans of folk and indie music alike will adore this release.

Release Date: August 12, 2014
Rating: 4/5
Runtime: ~16 minutes
Check Out: “Wanderlust”, “Sun Song”

Tracklist:
01. Intro
02. Wanderlust
03. Bewildered
04. Sun Song
05. Wild

Stay
Mayday Parade
Mayday Parade

Oh can you tell, I haven’t slept very well
Since the last time that we spoke, I said
“Please understand I’ve been drinking again, and all I do is hope”
Please… stay
Please stay
I’ll admit I was wrong about everything
Cause I’m high and I don’t wanna come down
All the fun that we had on your mothers couch,
I don’t even wanna think about
