New York alt pop duo HEIRSOUND will be releasing their colorful debut EP, Merge, on August 5th. Merge has one of the most unique concepts for an album that we’ve ever come across as the six tracks create the color wheel. Confused? Let us explain: each track on the EP represents a specific color that has an aura and a feeling. For example, their latest single “Slow Motion” represents orange, an aura of adventure, happiness, and creativity.

The EP, which will be released on August 12th via Communal Records, will be the band’s first release since 2012 and will feature their hit song “You’ll Stay Right Here.” When discussing the EP, frontman Zeeshan Zaidi shares his excitement saying, “This EP has just 4 songs but a lot of life has happened in our time off, so it’s very personal and covers a lot of ground – creation, mortality, struggle and hope.”
After nearly a decade, SoCal punk rockers Guttermouth will be releasing their new album Got It Made. The album, which will be released on July 22nd via Rude Records/Bird Attack Records, will be sure to add a new chapter to their legacy as one of punk rock’s seminal acts. In a collective statement, the band shares. “After releasing 9 studio albums over the years, it’s sometimes hard to find new ideas and motivation, and life often gets in the way of creativity…While touring Australia in 2015, there was an opportunity to stay at a studio for a week in between legs of the tour. While staying at the studio, we were able to complete some of the ideas and record them as demos. Once back in the States we tweaked some of the songs once again. By then,we felt they were ready to be recorded properly. With no pressure of deadlines, we felt we were finally able to write songs we wanted to put out.”

New Jersey pop rockers The Stolen will be releasing their new EP next week and we’re pretty hyped about it. The EP, I’m So Dead, is set to be released on April 8th and was produced and engineered by Rob Chirappa (who also mixed the EP) and Mike Oettinger. The band had this to say about the release, “We wanted to write a record that told a story of personal/drastic change that happened this year. We wanted to write a record that grooves. We took influence from 90’s rock to modern pop to R&B. With a year of hardship and a larger musical palette, it gave us more to color with for this record.”
