Back in March, the Vans Warped Tour announced the full lineup of artists performing at the festival this summer. Just a few weeks ago, Warped released another announcement, sharing the sponsors and attractions that concert-goers can expect to see! The first wave of 2016 featured sponsors/partners include Vans, Journeys, Monster Energy, the U.S. Army, truth, Full Sail University, peta2, Twix, Trojan Condoms, Fueled By Ramen, Cool Gear, Ernie Ball, Depop and The Entertainment Institute (TEI) – the complete list can be found here
This summer, fans will notice a slight change in stage names as Journeys will be taking over both main stages, renaming them to Journeys Left Foot Stage and Journeys Right Foot Stage. In addition to this, fans will also be introduced to the Monster Energy Party Zone which will feature side-by-side stages of non-stop heavy music from artists such as Atreyu, Every Time I Die, Motionless In White, The Color Morale, and Chelsea Grin.
Did you think that was it? WRONG.
The festival will also be introducing the Full Sail Stage (which will present up-and-coming bands such as Cane Hill, Like Pacific, and Bad Seed Rising) and will be bringing back the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, this time allowing artists to compete to win a chance at playing one of the Journeys Main Stages! “I started this program twenty years ago because the opportunity to experience playing music live seemed to be dwindling,“ says Ernie Ball CEO Sterling Ball. “Because the opportunities are even fewer and far between today, we’re even more passionate about continuing to create the programs that give bands the exposure and experience of playing these world-class events.”
You may have also noticed we mentioned festival attractions for this year’s Warped. Founder Kevin Lyman shares, “Warped has evolved into a festival comprised of three equal parts: music, philanthropy and education…with the 2016 tour, we have truly accomplished this balance.” Fans can expect to see booths from animal rights group peta2, truth®, the Entertainment Institute, Depop, Cool Gear (the official hydration sponsor who will provide free filtered water at hydration stations – TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS!!), Fueled By Ramen (who will be bringing along a giant waterside), and the U.S. Army!
